Welcome to Cafe Onion Mia, a beacon of aesthetic delight nestled in the heart of Gangbuk-gu, Seoul. This exceptional cafe is more than just a place to grab your daily caffeine fix; it’s an experience that seamlessly blends modern design with a soothing ambiance, ideal for both casual meets and solitary moments of reflection.

As you step through the doors of Cafe Onion Mia, you're immediately embraced by a spacious layout complemented by soft background music, reminiscent of an art gallery that invites you to linger longer. It’s a hidden gem that customers like Wanjin Ko adore for its inviting atmosphere, noting its unexpected wide space that feels reminiscent of a modern art museum—a perfect setting for quiet contemplation or engaging conversations.

The coffee offerings here are commendable, featuring a variety suited to diverse palates. While some may find certain brews on the milder side, as Hana Kim mentions, the standout is the Iced Oatmeal Decaf Latte, a must-try for those who appreciate the nuanced flavor of oatmeal in their beverages. Pair it with their delectable plain croissant, the perfect buttery companion to any cup of coffee, and you have a match made in culinary heaven.

For those seeking something more than just coffee, Cafe Onion Mia does not disappoint. Guests have raved about the aesthetically pleasing design, crafted with an industrial touch that creates a warm yet modern atmosphere, as highlighted by Frédéric Weber. The combination of thoughtfully selected pastries adds to the allure, creating a feast for both the eyes and the palate.

The cafe is not solely about the drinks and food; it’s a community hub where creativity flows. Customer C S emphasizes the friendly and helpful staff, making it an ideal location for reading a book or working on your laptop, enveloped in an environment that inspires focus and calm.

Cafe Onion Mia stands as one of three branches within the famed Onion chain, each offering its unique charm. Located conveniently near the Mia station on the blue line, it serves as a refreshing escape from the bustling city life of Seoul while still being easily accessible. With its minimalist concept contrasting with the traditional hanok atmosphere of its flagship in Anguk, the design brings a contemporary twist that resonates with both locals and visitors alike.

In summary, whether you are a coffee aficionado, a pastry lover, or someone looking for a cozy nook to unwind, Cafe Onion Mia promises an unforgettable experience. Don’t miss out on the chance to explore this stylish oasis where every sip and bite takes you on a delightful journey.

It’s absolutely one of best hidden gems in Northern Seoul, which provides unexpected wide space with soft music. I feel like in a modern art museum.

Excellent coffee shop, wonderfully designed with an industrial touch, great place to casually have a drink and a viennoiserie...

Their coffee is kinda weak for me but I tried Iced otmeal decaf latter for the first time on the other day and it was absolutely the best decaf coffee / oatmeal latte I've ever had. If you are an oatmeal latte lover, Onion is the one of must-go places. Plus, their plain croissant is perfect to go with any kinds of coffee. Will definitely visit again and again.

One of three Onion cafes in Seoul, this branch is located in the North East residential suburb of Mia-dong, easily accessible from Mia station on the blue line (No. 4). The minimalist concept of their Mia cafe is in complete contrast to the traditional hanok atmosphere of their flagship branch in Anguk. Interestingly both of the cafes were designed by the same group at Korean branding house Fabrikr (established 2010). In their own words "we bring a life to mere [spaces] by creatively re-interpreting visual, tactual effects of infinte colour senses and various textures"; certainly a fitting description for the dimly lit back walls and array of modern furniture that fills the large 220 SQM abstract space. Mia's speciality in the baking department is their "Kougin-amann" (꾸인아망"), already described as "the fattiest pastry in all of Europe" by the New York Times, their version comes with a topping of butter and chocolate. Effectively it's a condensed cup-sized variety of the traditional croissant, originally from the French region of Brittany.
